Deleting Multiple Records using Multi Mode is a bulk deletion feature within Assure that allows a user to permanently remove multiple module records in a single operation. Multi Mode Delete is only available within the Incident module and the Procedural Audit module.
The user activates Multi Mode from the module overview page, sets the Selection type to Manual, and selects Delete from the Bulk dropdown menu. Records are selected by holding the Ctrl key and clicking each record. The user then clicks Go to initiate the deletion. A Delete Confirmation Box (a prompt asking the user to confirm the deletion, including the number of records selected) is displayed before any records are removed.
Bulk Delete of Records triggers Background Processing (a platform feature that allows time-consuming tasks to run automatically without interrupting the user's workflow). When the job starts, Assure queues the deletion and notifies the initiating user via a Toast Notification (a brief, unobtrusive popup notification appearing in the top right corner of the screen). A second Toast Notification is displayed when the job completes.
The initiating user also receives an email containing a link to a Summary Page. The Summary Page remains accessible for 30 days, after which Assure automatically deletes the information.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. As an alternative, records can be marked as Archived (a status that hides a record from standard list views without permanently removing the record from the system).
Cross-module scope: Bulk Delete applies to the Incident module and the Procedural Audit module only.
Prerequisites
- An active Assure user account.
- Delete Role Permission (the permission that allows a user to delete module records) granted via Role Permissions (the set of access rights defining what actions a user can perform within specified modules and Organisational Units) for the relevant module and Organisational Unit. - Relevant modules and cross-module implications: Multi Mode Delete is available exclusively within the Incident module and the Procedural Audit module. The deletion operation triggers Background Processing, which is a platform-wide queuing mechanism shared across multiple Assure modules. The Toast Notification and Summary Page behaviour is consistent with all other background processing operations. Users must hold the Delete Role Permission for the specific module and Organisational Unit to perform bulk deletions. As an alternative across all modules, records can be marked as Archived rather than permanently deleted.
