Deleting Multiple Records using Multi Mode
Note: Multi-Mode delete is only available within the Incident Module and Procedural Audit Module.
You can use the Multi-Mode Delete function to simultaneously delete multiple records on a page in one go.
To delete multiple records, when on the overview page, select ‘Multi Mode’. Under ‘Selection’ choose ‘Manual’ and select ‘Delete’ from the Bulk drop down menu.
Select multiple records by holding the ‘Ctrl’ button on your keyboard. To delete, press ‘Go’ from the top menu.
Note: you cannot navigate to another page as this will remove the selected records.
You will be presented with a ‘Delete Confirmation Box’, asking if you are sure you want to delete the records. This will include the number of records you have selected.
Once confirmed, the system will begin the deletion process and alert you to this in the top right hand corner of the screen.
Once the process had been completed you will see another message in the top right hand corner.
Note: this process is using a queuing system, and as a result the deletion may not happen immediately.
In case you have logged out of the system when your job is complete, you will also receive an email confirming when the deletion process has completed. This email will contain a link to a page outlining more information. For further information on background processes please click here.
Please note:
When a record is deleted from the system is it is not recoverable.
Users of the software should always be careful not to delete records unless they have absolute confidence that the record is no longer required by them or any other users.
Evotix advises that deletion privileges only be given to a select number of users who have an in-depth knowledge of the software and the information it holds.
Alternatively, to deleting records, it is possible to hide a record by marking it as Archived.
