This article explains how to remove the Assure username and password login options when Single Sign-On (SSO) is enabled, forcing users through the SSO authentication journey only. This setting is configured in the Features section of Assure System Settings and can be applied independently to the main Assure web application and AssureGO+. Once enabled, users will only see the SSO login option on the login page.
Navigation: Settings > System Configuration > System Settings > Features > Single Sign-On
Prerequisites
Before enabling this setting, confirm the following:
- SSO has already been configured and is working correctly for your Assure instance. SSO must be enabled by the Evotix team before the setting below can be used.
- The user making the change must have the Manage System Settings Supervisor Privilege.
- All affected users have been informed and have functioning SSO credentials before this change is applied.
Overview
Within the Features section in Assure System Settings, there is the option to remove the Assure username and password login options when Single Sign-On (SSO) is enabled. This will take users down the SSO login journey, and they will not be able to use the Assure username and password. SSO only login can be enabled for main system Assure and AssureGO+ independently, allowing control over where this is applied.
How to Enable SSO-Only Login
1.Navigate to the Assure System Settings:
2. Scroll down to the Features section:
3. Within the Features sections, scroll down to the Single Sign on area:
4. Select whether to apply SSO-only login for Assure only, for AssureGO+ only, or for both.
5. Save the settings.
Result
When this option is enabled for Assure and/or AssureGO+, the login pages will show only the SSO login option. The only option a user has to log in is via SSO.
Important Note
If this feature is in use and there is a problem with SSO that prevents login to Assure or AssureGO+, contact the Evotix Support Team or your internal IT Team.
This is critical: enabling SSO-only login removes the fallback option of username and password authentication. If the SSO provider experiences an outage, all affected users will be unable to log in until SSO is restored or the setting is reversed by an administrator with an alternate access route.

- Relevant modules and cross-module implications: This setting is configured in System Settings and applies globally to authentication across all Assure modules and AssureGO+. Enabling SSO-only login for the main Assure system will block the username/password login route for all Assure users. Enabling SSO-only login for AssureGO+ will block the username/password login route for all AssureGO+ users. The two settings are independent and can be applied to either or both platforms. If SSO becomes unavailable after this setting is enabled, all affected users will be unable to log in until SSO is restored or the setting is changed.
