My Preferences is a per-user settings menu in Assure that allows each individual Assure user to personalise three account-level display settings: User Specific Timezone, Language, and Date Format. The menu is accessed from the username dropdown in the top-right corner of the Assure interface and appears at the top of the sub-menu list. Changes take effect immediately upon clicking Save & Close. System Administrators retain the ability to manage these same settings on behalf of users via the Users area in Settings. This article applies to all Assure users across all modules.
The My Preferences menu item is located under the User: username dropdown and appears at the top of the sub-menu list.
| Note: Each Assure user can only manage their own My Preferences. System Administrators can still manage user preferences within the Users module. |
The dropdown menu is accessible from the top-right corner of the Assure interface. When a user clicks their username, a sub-menu appears containing the following options:
| My Preferences |
| My Permissions |
| Change My Password |
| Log Out |
Within the My Preferences menu, users can edit the following three settings:
| User Specific Timezone | Allows the user to change the timezone applied to their Assure account. This user-specific timezone setting can be set by individual users to display their local timezone. The Assure UI converts UTC data from the database to the user's local time using the My Preferences timezone setting for display purposes. If the user has not set My Preferences, dates and times will display according to the site-wide default timezone. |
| Language | If the customer has multilingual enabled, the user can change the language on their Assure account by selecting their username and then My Preferences. This setting only appears if multilingual functionality has been configured for the organisation. |
| Date Format | Allows the user to change the date format displayed throughout their Assure account. |
To save any changes you may have made, click Save & Close.
| Note: If your organisation manages users via the SCIM API, be aware that User Specific Time Zone, Language, and Date Format can be manually amended by the user themselves. However, if the user is subsequently updated via the SCIM API, these fields will reset to reflect the values provided in the SCIM update |
| Note: When viewing data in Insights+, the timezone table displays data in the user's timezone as set in My Preferences. If the user has a different timezone to the site-wide customer default, the user can flip between the two timezones. |
