AssureGO+ can be used without any login, or a portal can be set up with the option for users to log in. Login allows users to sign in and verify their identity so the system knows who is active. Both Assure system users and AssureGO+ only users can sign in. Authentication is configured independently per portal and determines what features and content are accessible to users. Three access types are available.
Prerequisites
Before changing a portal to Authentication Required, confirm the following are in place:
- All users must be set up in Assure User Management as either Assure System users or AssureGO+ only users before the portal access type is changed. Once all users are set up and have had their login details communicated, the access type can be changed in the Portal Dashboard configuration.
- Each user must have a valid username and password. Assure and AssureGO+ users access AssureGO+ with the same username and password used for Assure. AssureGO+ only users require a username and password configured in User Management. Refer to the New User Setup article for password setup steps.
- If SSO is in use, SSO is supported with the introduction of Authentication on AssureGO+, and the same password management rules as for Assure users apply. Ensure SSO is configured before switching the portal to an authenticated access type
Portal Access Types
There are 3 access types for AssureGO+ portals that can be configured to allow users within an organisation to manage their Health and Safety incidents. The access type can be set independently for each AssureGO+ portal.Go here for Information on Portal configuration > Portal Configuration
1. No Authentication Required (Default)
AssureGO+ can be used without any login required. Any user that has the link can access the forms and documents shared to the app.If a portal access type is set to No Authentication Required, there will be no option for a user to log in to AssureGO+.
2. Authentication Required
Anybody who wants to access the AssureGO+ portal will need to sign in to access AssureGO+. All users must be set up as Assure System users or AssureGO+ users in User Management.If a portal access type has been set to Authentication Required, the user will be presented with the login screen when the user navigates to the portal. Users can log in and will see the relevant content for the portal. Once logged in, users can change their password and can log out.
3. Authentication Optional
Anybody can access the AssureGO+ portal without signing in. There is an option for users to sign in when in the app. This provides more flexibility as additional functionality is released that is supported by authenticating users.If a portal access type is set to Authentication Optional, the user will be able to access the portal without logging in. However, the user will see the option to log in and, on doing so, will have the same options as an authenticated user.
What Happens When a User is Logged In
When a form is raised via AssureGO+ and a user is logged in, the Created By user information will be attached to the form and will be passed through to Assure so that the user can be identified as the user who created the form. This information can be seen in record details. This information also enables email notifications to be sent to users who have created records, providing automated updates that their form has been received, updated, or closed out.
With future product releases, additional functionality will be released that is only available to logged-in users.

Offline Behaviour
Offline without authentication:
- Downloaded forms can be accessed when offline, but cannot be submitted until back online.
Offline with authentication:
- Users cannot log in when offline.
SSO Support
SSO (Single Sign-On) is supported with the introduction of Authentication on AssureGO+. For AssureGO+ users, the same password management rules as for Assure users apply.

User Access Types
Two user types are available between Assure and AssureGO+ access:
- Assure and AssureGO+ users -- Assure System users have access to AssureGO+ with the same username and password.
- AssureGO+ only users -- Access to AssureGO+ only, with a username and password.
On your user management screen, you will now see a new Access Type column.
Default Access Type for Existing Users
All existing users default to Assure and AssureGO+ users. They continue to access Assure as they have been. Should a portal be set to Authenticated access, the same login details will apply.
Creating AssureGO+ Only Users
There is an option to create AssureGO+ only users. These users can only access AssureGO+.Users can be set up manually. For full steps, refer to the New User Setup article.
The access type can be changed manually by editing existing users on the User page.
How to Set Up an Authenticated Portal
To enable Authentication, the following two steps are required:
- Ensure users are set up in User Management with the appropriate Access Type.
- Change the AssureGO+ Access setting in the Portal Dashboard configuration.
Once all users are set up and have had their login details communicated, change the access type in the Portal Dashboard configuration.
