This article explains how to generate QR codes for documents and records that have been published to the Portal (a web-based interface within Evotix Assure that allows users to submit, view, and interact with health, safety, and compliance information) from within Assure Go+ (AG+) (Assure's mobile progressive web app). There are two distinct workflows covered:
Generating a QR code for an individual record or Document Library item from the module list view in Assure. This is available only for records that have been published to the Portal.
Bulk-generating QR codes for Important Documents set within a specific Assure Go+ instance, accessible via the Portal Dashboard (the central interface for viewing, creating, and managing portal apps and settings).
This article spans the Assure main system (module list views) and the Portal Dashboard configuration area. A prerequisite for all QR code generation is that the target record or document must have the Publish to Portal setting enabled.
The generated QR codes can be printed, downloaded as .png files, or copied as URLs. Bulk-generated QR codes are downloaded as a zip folder containing individual .png files.
Creating QR Codes for Documents and Records in AssureGO+
Assure includes the option to generate a QR code for items listed in the Documents and Records tabs in AssureGO+.
For items in the Records tab and in the Document Library, the option to generate the QR code is in the record for that item in the list view in the module.
From the list view, you can tell which records have been published to the portal. Click on the three-dot-ellipse in the right hand side of the record.
Click on QR Code. This is only available for items that have been published to the portal.
Select the AssureGO+ portal for the QR code.
The QR code will be generated as well as the URL that the QR code will use. You can print or download the QR code as a .png file or copy the URL.
To generate a QR code for the documents set as Important Documents in a specific AssureGO+ instance, go to Portal Dashboard and edit the portal. Under the Important Documents header is a new option to select records and a button to Generate QR Codes.
When you click on Generate QR Codes, Assure will create individual QR codes for each document in the selected records. The QR Code Summary shows the description of these documents. Click Download All to download a zip folder with the individual QR codes saved as a .png file.

Suggested Embedding Keywords: generate QR code assure, QR code documents portal, QR code records AssureGO+, download QR code assure, print QR code portal, published to portal QR, important documents QR code, pinned documents QR code, portal dashboard QR codes, bulk generate QR codes assure, AssureGO+ QR code generation, document library QR code Relevant Modules and Cross-Module Implications:
- Assure Main System (all Modules): The QR Code option appears in the three-dot-ellipse menu within the list view of any module. Records must have the Publish to Portal setting enabled before the QR Code option becomes available. This applies to any module that supports publishing (for example, Risk Assessment, Document Library).
- Portal Dashboard (Settings area): The bulk Important Documents QR code generation feature is configured and triggered from within the Portal Dashboard edit screen. This is a cross-module workflow: the Assure main system controls which records are published, and the Portal Dashboard controls which are designated as Important Documents and therefore eligible for bulk QR code generation.
- Cross-module implication: Any change to the Publish to Portal status of a record in the main system directly affects whether a QR code can be generated for that record in AssureGO+. Administrators managing the Portal Dashboard must ensure records are published before attempting QR code generation.
