This article explains how to use the RIDDOR Default Values feature (also referred to as RIDDOR Autofill) in Assure. This feature allows each user to save their personal and organisational details from the 'About You and Your Organisation' section of the RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations — the UK legal framework requiring employers to report certain workplace incidents to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)) form as defaults. Once saved, these details are automatically populated when a new RIDDOR record is created, reducing manual data re-entry.Important limitation: The autofill behaviour applies only when a RIDDOR record is created directly within the RIDDOR module. It does not apply when a RIDDOR record is created via the 'Create RIDDOR Record After Saving This Record' option on an Incident Record.Module scope: This article is scoped to the RIDDOR sub-module within the Incident module in Assure. This feature is relevant to UK organisations operating under RIDDOR regulations.
Overview
How to Save Default Values
Step 1: Complete the 'About You and Your Organisation' Section
Step 2: Set the Values as Default
Step 3: Save the Record
How the Autofill Behaves
- Whenever the logged-in user creates a new RIDDOR record directly within the RIDDOR module, the 'About You and Your Organisation' section is automatically pre-populated with the saved default values.
- The autofill values are specific to the user who is logged in. Each user stores their own set of default values independently.
Updating Default Values
- Edit a RIDDOR record and update the 'About You and Your Organisation' section with the new details.
- Tick the 'Set these values as default for this section' checkbox again.
- Save the record. The previously saved defaults are replaced with the updated values.
