This article explains how to navigate to and access Modules (the functional components of Assure, each designed to manage a specific area of health, safety, and risk processes) within the Assure platform. Users access modules via the Modules option in the navigation menu. Only modules that have been purchased by the organisation appear in the list. If a user attempts to open a module they do not have permission to access, Assure displays an access denied error message.
Overview of Modules in Assure
Assure is structured around a set of modules, each managing a distinct area of health, safety, and risk. The full list of available modules is:
- Project
- Risk
- Incident
- People
- Assets
- Behaviour
- Audit
- Contractor
- Environment
Note: Only the modules your organisation has purchased will appear in the navigation menu. Modules that have not been purchased are not displayed.
How to Access Modules
- Log in to the Assure platform.
- Locate the navigation menu.
- Click Modules in the navigation menu.
- The list of available (purchased) modules will display.
- Click the name of the module you wish to open.
Access Denied Error
If a user clicks on a module they do not have permission to access, Assure displays the following error message:
This error can occur for two reasons:
- The module has not been purchased. Unpurchased modules do not appear in the navigation list, so this scenario applies only if a user navigates to a module via a direct link or URL.
- The user does not have the required Role Permissions (the access rights defining what actions a user can perform within specified modules and Organisational Units) for that module.
If a user encounters this error and believes they should have access, they should contact their internal Assure Administrator to review and correct their Role Permissions.
Notes
- The Modules navigation menu only displays modules that have been purchased by the organisation.
- Module access is controlled by Role Permissions assigned to each user account.
- Reporting and the Document Library are also accessible through the module list
- An Assure Administrator can review and update Role Permissions by navigating to Settings > Organisational Configuration > Roles.

- Relevant modules and cross-module implications: This article applies to all Assure modules. The navigation behaviour described is universal across the platform. Module visibility is governed by licence (which modules have been purchased) and user Role Permissions (which modules a user is permitted to access within those purchased). Both factors must be satisfied for a user to access a module successfully.
