This article explains how to configure and use Quick Reports (customisable, user-defined data extracts from Assure modules), Filtered Quick Reports, Excel linking via the Web Portal URL, and IP Address Range restrictions within the legacy Web Portal (the original browser-based portal interface in Assure, designed primarily for desktop use). All features described in this article apply to the Web Portal only and are not available in AssureGO+ (the Evotix Progressive Web App for mobile and desktop form submission).Important: The Web Portal is no longer officially supported. All development work is now focused on AssureGO+. Customers are encouraged to use AssureGO+ for all portal activity. Existing Web Portal instances remain accessible but will not receive new features.Cross-module scope: This article spans the Portal Dashboard configuration area and the Quick Reports functionality across all Assure modules.

Quick Reports and Filtered Quick Reports (Web Portal Only)
Quick Reports allow any Web Portal user to run a Quick Report (a customisable, user-defined data extract that selects specific fields from an Assure module) that was designed in the Assure main system.
Filtered Quick Reports allow any Web Portal user to run a Quick Report with a pre-applied Filter (a set of criteria used to narrow the records displayed) configured by an administrator.
Adding Quick Reports to the Web Portal
Step 1: Enable Publish to Portal on the Quick Report
Before a Quick Report can be added to the Web Portal, the Publish to Portal setting must be enabled on the report itself.
- Navigate to the relevant module in Assure.
- Click the Reports icon and select Manage under the Quick Reports section.
- Click the Menu Cog (cog wheel icon) next to the required Quick Report and select Edit.
- In the report settings, ensure the Publish to Portal checkbox is ticked.
- Click Save and Close.
Step 2: Add the Quick Report to the Portal Dashboard
- Navigate to Settings > Portal > Portal Dashboard.
- Click the Menu Cog next to the relevant portal and select Edit.
- Scroll down to the Quick Reports section.
- Click +Add to select from the list of available Quick Reports (those with Publish to Portal enabled).
- Select all required Quick Reports, Confirm, then click Save & Close the Dashboard Form.
The Quick Reports are now available on the Web Portal for all portal users to run, containing all data from that module.
Adding Filtered Quick Reports to the Web Portal
Step 1: Enable Publish to Portal on the Quick Report
Filtered Quick Reports use the same Quick Reports as above. The Publish to Portal setting must be enabled on the Quick Report (follow Step 1 above).
Step 2: Add the Filtered Quick Report to the Portal Dashboard
- Navigate to Settings > Portal > Portal Dashboard.
- Click the Menu Cog next to the relevant portal and select Edit.
- Scroll down to the Filtered Quick Reports section.
- Click +Add to select a Quick Report and the Filter (a set of criteria to narrow the records) to apply to that report.
When configuring a Filtered Quick Report, the following additional options are available:

| Allow Personnel Data | If ticked, any user with access to the Web Portal can view all personal data contained within the report. Tick this with caution. |
| Sort Field | Select the field by which the report will be sorted. |
| Include Archived Records | Tick this box if archived records should be included in the report output. |
Note: If creating Quick Reports by Org Unit (Organisational Unit -- the hierarchical node in Assure that determines reporting structure), ensure the Cascade checkbox is enabled within the Portal Dashboard configuration for data to populate correctly on the Quick Report.
- Click Save & Close to apply the configuration.
Linking a Web Portal Quick Report to Excel
The Web Portal URL for a Quick Report can be linked directly to a Microsoft Excel sheet, enabling live data to be refreshed from Assure at any time.
- Open the Quick Report through the Web Portal and copy its URL from the browser address bar.
- Open a blank Excel sheet.
- On the Excel sheet, select the Data tab and click From Web.
- Paste the copied URL into the field and click OK.
- In the Navigator panel, select the report by its name and click Load.
- The data will load into the Excel sheet. Save the file.
- To pull up-to-date data from Assure in the future, select the Refresh button within the Data tab.
Setting an IP Address Range for the Web Portal
Access to a Web Portal can be restricted based on an IPv4 address (a numerical label used to identify a device on a network). This restriction is configured within Portal Dashboard settings and applies to the Web Portal only -- it does not apply to AssureGO+.
How to Configure an IP Address Range
- Navigate to Settings > Portal > Portal Dashboard.
- Click the Menu Cog next to the relevant portal and select Edit.
- Scroll down to the IP Address Range section.
- Click +Add to add a new IP address range entry and configure the following:

| Lower Range | The lower bounds of the IPv4 address range. |
| Upper Range | The upper bounds of the IPv4 address range. Not required if filtering on a single address only. |
| Access | Select whether the range is a list of Allowed or Restricted addresses. |
| Priority | Use the up/down drag icon at the start of the IP Address Range table to reorder entries. Entries are evaluated from top to bottom. Deny always overrides Allow when evaluating multiple ranges. |
- Click Save & Close to apply the IP restriction.
Note: When a user attempts to access a Web Portal and their IP address falls within a restricted range, they will be presented with the Assure login screen or home screen instead of the portal.
Important Notes
- Web Portal only: All features in this article (Quick Reports, Filtered Quick Reports, Excel linking, and IP restrictions) apply to the Web Portal only. They are not available on AssureGO+.
- The Web Portal URL can be obtained by editing the Portal Dashboard and locating the Web Portal URL field.
- The Web Portal is no longer actively developed. Evotix recommends using AssureGO+ for all portal activity.
