This article explains how to display and configure the Risk Matrix (the tool used to evaluate and score the severity and likelihood of a risk) within the Hazard Spotting module in Assure. The Risk Matrix is hidden by default in Hazard Spotting and must be explicitly enabled through Module Setup within System Configuration. Once enabled, the matrix appears in the Conclusions section of a Hazard Spotting record and behaves consistently with all other Risk Matrix instances across the system, including in system reports.
This article applies to the Risk module in the main Assure web application. It has cross-module implications for the Hazard Spotting sub-module and system-wide reporting.

- Relevant modules and cross-module implications: This article is contained within the Risk module, specifically the Hazard Spotting sub-module. Enabling the Risk Matrix within Hazard Spotting has cross-module implications for system-wide reporting, as the resulting matrix data is included in all Assure system reports. The Risk Matrix configuration itself is shared platform-wide; enabling it in Hazard Spotting does not affect Risk Matrix configurations in other modules (such as Incident Records or Activity Risk Assessments), which are managed separately.
