Adding Guidance Text to a Main Form Field
When users are filing in forms such as incident, activity risk it may help them to add some guidance text onto the fields, to give them more information and help them fill in the field more accurately.
Go to Settings > Module Setup
Find the module from the list. Click the Menu Cog item and click captions.
Click the New Record button.
Select the field from the Property Name list you wish to add guidance.
Enter the Guidance Message in the Guidance Text field.
Select if you wish the Guidance to display as a Pop-up display or Static display.
Example of pop up guidance: When the user hovers their mouse over the ‘i’ icon the guidance will show.
Example of static guidance: The guidance text appears next to the field at all times.
