Free Standing Actions and Action Manager
Free Standing Actions which are created directly through 'My Tasks' or 'Action Manager' can be saved against an associated Org Unit.
Tasks > Task Management > Action Manager
Select the New Record icon from Action Manager list view
Click on the My Tasks text on the user bar on the homepage of Assure.
Select the New Record Icon from My Tasks list view.
The Org Unit Selector field is available at the top of the page for Free Standing actions.
The Org unit field for module-based actions will be read-only and will be populated with the Org unit that is saved to the module record.
The Edit and Detail view for actions will always show the Org unit field.
The user who creates the Free-Standing action or users who have the 'Override Actions' permission will be able to edit the Org unit field.
The user that the action is for cannot edit the Org unit field, unless they have the 'Override Actions' permission.
The Org Unit field can be captioned within Assure as follows:
Settings > System Configuration > Module Setup
Navigate to the Task Management section and on the Action Manager click the cog menu and select Captions.
Click on the New Record Icon 
Select Org Unit from the Property Name field.
The field can be renamed, Static or pop up guidance can be added and the field can also be made mandatory.
Please note that if mandatory is enabled only new actions will be validated.
Existing actions that have the Org Unit field empty will be able to be edited and saved without being validated.
The Action Manager and My Tasks list views' both have an Org Unit column displayed.
The column can be sorted by using the arrows on the column header.
The Filter criteria within Action Manager includes Org Unit.
Please note that to show Free Standing Actions in the Action Manager list view you must enable the checkbox within the Filter menu.
Users can include the Org Unit field in Quick Reports created within the Action Manager.
The following Standard Reports available within Action Manager all contain Org Unit information for both freestanding and module actions:
- Action Academic Year Chart
- Action Calendar Year Chart
- Action Financial Year Chart
- Action Pie Chart By Org Unit
- Monthly Breakdown Of Outstanding Actions
