Evotix Learn (the Evotix training and learning platform) supports 64 languages and regional variations, enabling organisations to deploy the platform for a global, multilingual workforce. When a language is configured, system interface elements -- including menus, labels, and navigation text -- display in that language. However, learning content itself is not automatically translated. Administrators must manually supply translated content for each Stage (an individual piece of learning content) and Mission (a collection of Stages grouped by topic that represents a single training course).
Find out which languages are supported within Learn.
Prerequisites
- Administrator or Content Administrator access to the Learn Admin Area.
- Content must already exist in its default language of the site before translations can be applied.
- The target language must already be enabled on the platform. To add additional language options beyond the default, contact your System Administrator. The System Administrator adds languages by following the steps in the Global Languages configuration.
- System Administrator access to the Learn Admin Area.
- Access to the Global Languages configuration within the Learn Admin Area.
The languages available for selection are determined by the organisation's initial purchase. Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Customer Development Manager (CDM) to request additional languages.
Overview
How Language Display Works for Learners
Content Translation: Administrator Responsibilities
Method 1: Per-Block Translations
- Open the Stage or Resource in the Learn Admin Area.
- Locate the block to translate within the Block Editor.
- Click the language button in the block's toolbar.
- Select the target language from the list.
- The block saves existing content as the "English" content and clears the field.
- Enter the translated content for the selected language.
- Repeat steps 2 to 6 for each block that requires translation.
- Click Publish to save and publish changes.
Note: The correct method is determined by content type. Using the wrong method (for example, attempting per-block translation on a Quiz Stage) will not be available as Quiz Stages only support page-wide translation.
Method 2: Page-Wide Translations
- Open the content item (for example, a Mission or Quiz Stage) in the Learn Admin Area.
- Locate the Language section in the publication panel at the top right of the page.
- Select the target language from the dropdown.
- The page refreshes and shows all fields with existing content greyed out, over which you can add translations.
- Enter translations into each field.
- Click Publish (or Update) to save the translations.
Example -- translating a Mission title: The original English title is visible at the top of the page. Once the language is changed, the field empties and shows a greyed out version of the English content. The translated text is entered in the field to appear when a learner uses a device set to that language
Note on Levels and Pathways: The Learn platform contains Level and Pathway features. Pathways and Levels are a legacy feature and are not the recommended method for training delivery. The Assure integration workflow, which links Missions directly to course records in the People module, is the recommended approach for assigning, tracking, and managing training. If Levels or Pathways exist in the platform, the page-wide translation method applies to them, but administrators should focus translation effort on Missions and Stages when following the recommended workflow.

Training Assignment and Language: Cross-Module Note
Important Notes
- The system interface (menus, labels, navigation text) supports 18 languages for structural text. If the learner's device language is not among these 18, the interface defaults to English.
- Learning content (Stages, Missions) supports 64 languages and regional variations, but translations must be provided manually by the administrator.
- The default language is English. Always ensure the default language version of every content item is complete and accurate, as it serves as the fallback for all unsupported or untranslated languages.
- Languages are continually added to Learn. If a required language is not currently available, it is likely to be included in a future release.
- Language availability is controlled by System Administrators. If a required language is not visible in the language button dropdown, contact your System Administrator to enable the language via Global Languages configuration.
- Pathways and Levels are legacy features in the Learn platform. Evotix does not actively train on Pathways as a training assignment method. Translation of Pathways and Levels follows the page-wide translation method, but the recommended focus for translation and delivery is Missions assigned via the Assure People module.

- Cross-Module Implications: This article is scoped primarily within Evotix Learn. Language configuration is managed by the System Administrator in the Learn Global Languages settings. The device language setting of the learner determines which translation is displayed in the Learn front-end app. The recommended method for assigning training is via the Assure People module (Training Needs Analysis), not via Pathways or Levels in Learn. Pathways and Levels are legacy features and do not support the recommended training assignment workflow. Translation effort should focus on Missions and Stages, which are the active content types in the recommended workflow.
