The Leaderboard in Learn is a feature that can boost learner engagement and motivation. Each time a user completes a stage for the first time, the user earns points. The user’s accumulated points then determine their position in the Leaderboard.
Users can access the Leaderboard via the Learn app by selecting More → Leaderboard in the navigation menu, or by selecting their profile image:
More information about the leaderboard feature can be found in here.
Managing Leaderboard visibility for all users.
As a Learn Administrator, you can choose whether the Leaderboard is enabled for all users. This can be done by Navigating to the Admin Area, selecting Access Control, and using the ‘Enable leaderboards’ checkbox to turn the feature on or off. By clicking save changes, this setting will apply site-wide.
Managing Leaderboard visibility and participation at a user level.
You can also control visibility and participation at a user level. To do this, through the Admin area of your Learn site, navigate to People, select the person, and you will see two checkboxes:
- Exclude from Leaderboard - If selected, this person will not appear in the leaderboard.
-
Restrict from Viewing Leaderboard - If selected, this user will not be able to view the leaderboard.
Note: If the Leaderboard is disabled at a site level via access control, no users will be able to view it, regardless of their individual person settings.
