This article explains the additional configuration options available for each Stage type in Evotix Learn (the Evotix training and learning management platform). A Stage is the lowest-level individual piece of learning content within a Mission (a collection of Stages grouped by topic). Each Stage type has a configuration panel located at the bottom of its admin page in the Learn back-end interface. Configuration options vary by stage type and control learner progression, time guidance, gamification points, video behaviour, and assessment pass requirements. This article covers configuration options for: Article Stages, PDF Stages, Audio Visual (AV) Stages, Quiz Stages, and SCORM Stages. This workflow is scoped entirely within Learn and does not require any configuration in Assure.
Note: A supporting video walkthrough is available at the top of the original article page.
A step-by-step walkthrough of how to configure learning stages within the platform. This video details how to define progression, set up stage requirements, and manage content availability.

Prerequisites
- Learn back-end access The configuration panel can be found at the bottom of the admin page for a stage type. To access this panel, the user must have Administrator or Content Administrator access to the Learn back-end admin interface.
- A Stage must already be created Stage configuration options are only available after a Stage has been created. The configuration panel is accessed from within the individual Stage's admin page. Refer to the relevant stage creation articles for steps on how to create each stage type before applying configuration.
- Understanding of stage types Configuration options differ based on the type of stage chosen. The administrator should identify the correct stage type before configuring it, as not all options are available across all types. Refer to the Configuration Options at a Glance table in this article for a full comparison.
- Content structure planned If Content Locked is to be used, the Mission containing the Stages should have its content order determined in advance. Ticking the Content Locked checkbox will lock the stage until the previous stage has been completed, meaning users must move through the content in a specific order. This requires at least two Stages to exist within the same Mission.
