Insights Bookmarks
Bookmark functionality in Insights (Linux) works differently from the Windows version.
Bookmarks from Windows will not carry across and will need to be recreated by users in Linux. Depending on the user’s role, bookmarks can be saved as private or public.
User Permissions:
Designers
- Can create private bookmarks (visible only to themselves).
- Can create public bookmarks (shared with all users in the customer group).
Viewers
- Can create private bookmarks only.
- These bookmarks are visible only to the user who created them.
Creating a Bookmark
Bookmarks are created and managed by users directly within each dashboard.
To create a bookmark:
- Apply the filters you want to include in the bookmark.
- Select “Save Bookmark”.
- Save the bookmark, as either private or public.
- Once saved, bookmarks can be accessed from the bookmark drop-down menu, by clicking Select Bookmark.
Please note:
- Public bookmarks only become visible to other users after the dashboard is republished. If you create or update a public bookmark, make sure the dashboard is republished so others can access it.
- If you don’t have a Designer user and need help recreating Public bookmarks, you can raise a request with Support. Please include the dashboard name, filter settings, and bookmark name.
- Please note that some bookmarks may not be possible to recreate in every case, depending on their configuration.
