Training Needs Analysis
Using Replace and Update to renew a training requirement/course
In the People & Training module, the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) page allows you to assign a Qualification or TNA Template to one or more Employees, in order to allow you to select a group of courses which require completion.
The Replace and Update functionality allows you to update training requirements for training courses that are set as one-off courses, but need to be renewed or repeated. For standard ongoing recurring training please use the Recurring Training functionality which allows you to set a course to recurring. If a course is recurring, on course completion the next occurrence will automatically populate with the next required by date.

If a course is to be completed once (one off) when the status is complete the user can manually ‘replace and update’ using the more menu options as detailed below. It is recommended that a new course is created to make use of the automation a recurring course can provide.
Note: Replace and Update is only available for Training Records that are already in a Completed status.
How to Replace and Update Manually for One Off courses
To update a TNA for a course with a "Completed" training record and supply a new date by which the course must be repeated/refreshed, select the more menu alongside the correct training record and choose the "Replace and Update" option from the dropdown menu:-
Using Replace and Update on the record will create a new training requirement for this course within the TNA grid on screen, with the "Required By" date cleared out, and the training record status reset to "Not Started":-
The Course Date for the record will also be marked as "Override" as the existing course date has been overridden.
Please note, the details of the Completed Training record for the previous date are kept by Assure although they are no longer part of the Employee's outstanding Training Needs Analysis record.
To view the Training record for the Fire Warden course that has already been completed by the user in this example, go to Modules/People/Training Records
Removing a Course from a TNA
When you're in a Person's TNA and need to remove a course, you can do so by selecting the "Remove" button.
Removing a course from a TNA indicates that the individual is no longer required to complete it as part of their TNA. However, the associated training records will remain in the system, they will no longer be linked to the TNA. To fully delete these training records, you will need to remove them separately.
