By providing a compliance overview of a person's training, administrators can clearly see who is capable or qualified to complete tasks such as First Aid. This means they do not have to look through all previously completed training records to see if a person is in date with their training.
The Training Compliance Overview (the section within a Person Record that displays an aggregated view of training status across all courses assigned to an individual) is enabled by default on all Assure instances where training is active. It presents a percentage compliance chart and a sortable, searchable summary table of training records.
Prerequisites
- Training must be enabled on your Assure instance. This feature will only display if training is enabled.
- The Person Record must exist in the Person Register. The compliance overview is displayed within an individual Person Record.
- Training Records must be associated with the Person Record. If there are no training records associated with the person record, an empty state screen will display rather than the compliance chart and table.
- The Training Compliance Overview must not have been disabled by an administrator. This feature is enabled by default but can be disabled by an administrator via Settings > Module Setup > Person Register > Other Settings
Overview
Note: This feature will only display if training is enabled on your instance of Assure.
Navigating the Compliance Table
- Expand course history: Select an individual's row to expand it and see the full course history. This displays all training records associated with that course for that person record.
- Sort: Select any column header to sort the data.
- Search: Use the search bar at the top right of the table to filter records.
Status Ratings
| Status Rating | Colour | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Not Required | Dark grey | The status against the course on the TNA (Training Needs Analysis) is set to Optional/Not Required. |
| Compliant | Green | For recurring training: the training course has been completed, and it is not within 90 days of the next recurrence or overdue. For one-off training: the training course has been completed. Note: Training that has not been completed but has a due date of more than 90 days in the future will show as Compliant. |
| Expiring | Yellow | The Required By date is within 90 days AND training has not been completed. Note: Training that has not been completed but has a due date of less than 90 days in the future will show as Compliant. |
| Non-Compliant | Red | The Required By date is past due AND training has not been completed. Or, the Required By date is NULL and the status against the course on the TNA is NOT set to Optional/Not Required. |
Note on Expiring status: The original article contains a note within the Expiring row that states training with a due date less than 90 days in the future shows as Compliant. This appears to conflict with the Expiring definition. This has been retained exactly as stated and is flagged in the Uncertainties section below.
If there are no training records associated with the person record, the following screen will display.
What is Included in the Compliance Overview
- Update Status: Change the status of the training record to "Optional/Not Required."

- CSV: Produces a summary of the data in an Excel document.
- PDF: Includes the overall Person Record report, with the compliance section displayed as part of the full report.
