User roles
Learn has a number of user roles that can be assigned to front end and back end users, which allow for specific responsibilities.
FRONT-END ROLES
Some roles are only able to access the front end of the platform, and trying to access the back end will result in an access error.
- Subscriber
- Subscribers are only able to view content in the front-end app.
- They are unable to submit any content.
- Contributor
- This is the default role for all Learn front end users.
- Contributors can see all content on the front end the same as subscribers.
- They can also submit content through the front end if enabled in the app.
BACK-END ROLES
- Content administrator
- This is the default role for Learn administrators.
- Content admins can create and publish content:
- Pathways, Levels, Missions, Stages, and Resources
- Notifications
- System administrator
- As standard, one user from the customer's team will be a system administrator.
- System admins can edit all content types, as well as some extra app-wide settings, including:
- App name
- Global settings for translations and comments
- User records
